About Mark Melson
Dr. Mark Melson is a board-certified ophthalmologist and diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology who specializes in the diagnosis and management of eyelid, tear duct, and orbital diseases. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons and is active in local, state, and national medical societies. After fellowship he joined the faculty at Vanderbilt University with dual appointments as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Dermatology), and was an attending oculoplastic surgeon at the Nashville Veteran Affairs Medical Center. At Vanderbilt he served as Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Ophthalmology and as Assistant Team Ophthalmologist for the Nashville Predators. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and lectured internationally.
