About Maricela Castillo MacKenzie

Maricela Castillo MacKenzie, MD is a co-founder of Elle MD in Royal Oak, Michigan, and has practiced medicine for over 10 years. Born and raised in Mexico City, she earned her medical degree from Westhill University, affiliated with the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and completed a family medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital. She is board certified in obesity medicine and is fully fluent in Spanish, seeing Spanish-speaking patients at the practice. She works with the Mexican Consulate and the Michigan Department of Health and serves as a national spokesperson for Univision.
