About Khiem Lai
Dr. Khiem D. Lai has received formal education and training in both aesthetic medicine and aesthetic plastic surgery, complemented by postgraduate courses and workshops in facial aesthetics, breast surgery, and body contouring in the U.S. and abroad. Though not a U.S. residency-trained plastic surgeon, he brings education and hands-on training in dermatologic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery to his aesthetic practice, and integrates knowledge from tissue engineering and regenerative medicine into facial rejuvenation. Born and raised in Saigon, South Vietnam, he escaped the communist regime as a boat person and found refuge in West Germany before reuniting with his family in Southern California. He has practiced in Garden Grove, California since 2004 and has led Garden Grove Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery since 2021. He speaks Vietnamese, German, and Spanish.
