About Kathleen "Katie" OBrien
Kathleen "Katie" OBrien is the founder and medical director of Tahoe Hormone Therapy, a virtual practice for women in perimenopause and menopause. She is a physician board certified in emergency medicine with over 20 years of clinical experience, having completed her medical degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, an emergency medicine residency at the University of Arizona, and fellowships at the University of Arizona and Harvard University, where she also served as academic faculty and earned a Master of Public Health at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health. In 2018 she became a certified practitioner in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine, and she has completed advanced clinical nutrition training and menopause hormone therapy training through the Hormonal Health Institute, Origins Incubator and the Kalish Institute. She holds certification from The Menopause Society.
