About Jonathan M. Frantz

Jonathan M. Frantz, MD, FACS is the founder, chief surgeon and medical director of Frantz EyeCare in Fort Myers, Florida, which he established in 1994. He earned his medical degree with honours at the University of Miami and completed residency and a fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at the Louisiana State University Eye Center. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has more than 35 years of experience and reports over 75,000 surgeries performed, and performed the first bladeless laser cataract surgery in Southwest Florida in 2012.
