About John Rachel
John D. Rachel, MD, FACS is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and the lead physician at Chicago Aesthetics Surgery & Med Spa, in practice since 2001. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Michigan State University and earned his medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors from Wayne State University School of Medicine, then completed residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery at Wayne State/Detroit Medical Center and a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Beeson Cosmetic Surgery Institute. He holds four board certifications: from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has published in peer-reviewed journals including JAMA Otolaryngology and Dermatologic Surgery. His procedural focus is facelifts, rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty.
