About John McCann

Dr. John McCann, MD, PhD has limited his practice to facial plastic surgery for nearly 20 years and is the medical director of The Center for Facial Appearances. He is an expert in cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, midface, lower face, and forehead, and also offers Botox and fillers. He graduated from the University of Iowa, where he completed medical school and earned a PhD in biophysics and physiology, then completed surgery training at UCSF and advanced eyelid and facial plastic surgery training at the University of Utah. He spent nine years on the full-time faculty at UCLA, where he was head of ophthalmology at a UCLA-affiliated hospital and founder and director of the Aesthetic Center at UCLA. He states he has performed more than 10,000 procedures and is a member of the Botox national training faculty.
