About John LoMonaco

John LoMonaco, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Houston, Texas. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1990 and completed nine years of postgraduate training there, including a five-year general surgery residency and a two-year plastic surgery fellowship, training at Texas Medical Center hospitals including Memorial Hermann Hospital and MD Anderson. He spent two years as the Thomas Cronin Fellow in Plastic Surgery conducting laboratory research on skin substitutes for burn patients and participated in more than 5,000 surgical procedures during training. He served as Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and as Director of Plastic Surgery at LBJ Hospital from 1999 to 2001, then opened his private practice in 2001. His practice focuses on breast and body contouring with an emphasis on reconstruction after bariatric surgery.
