About J. Jared Christophel
Dr. Jared Christophel is a lifelong Virginian and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He received his medical education at the University of Virginia and stayed to complete an internship in general surgery followed by four years of residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, then completed a one-year fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Minnesota. He returned to the University of Virginia and served on the faculty for 10 years before advancing to a tenured position in the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was a senior examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and has lectured nationally and internationally on rhinoplasty and facial reconstruction. As of 2024 he has completed more than 500 rhinoplasties and 8,000 skin cancer repairs.
