About Jamie Kyei-Frimpong
Jamie Kyei-Frimpong is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and the founder of Monarch Way, a virtual functional medicine practice licensed across thirteen states. She has worked in healthcare for almost twenty years, graduating from Columbia University in 2008 and continuing her nursing studies at Duke University, where she earned her doctorate in 2020. Before founding Monarch Way she specialized in primary care and functional medicine at several New York City practices, including Pedre Integrative Health and Parsley Health. Her own path into functional medicine began when years of competitive marathon and ultrarunning left her body breaking down while conventional evaluations found nothing wrong; investigating further, she used functional medicine to rebalance her hormones and restore her gut, and moved from endurance training to powerlifting. She is certified in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine and holds certification in psychedelic-assisted therapies through Naropa University and MAPS, and her practice focuses on hormone imbalance and perimenopause, gut health, fatigue and brain fog, detoxification and metabolic health.
