Indrani Raman, MD is the founder and medical director of Excel Health MD, which has offices in Murphy and Rockwall, Texas. She has practiced medicine for nearly 23 years, spending roughly two decades as a nephrologist before moving into holistic and functional medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, certified in integrative medicine by the American Board of Integrative Medicine, in obesity medicine by the Obesity Medicine Association, and in functional medicine by the Institute for Functional Medicine. Her clinical focus areas are autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalances, digestive health, chronic stress, weight gain, kidney care, and diabetes and prediabetes, and she combines medically supervised weight loss, nutritional guidance, and integrative therapies. Outside medicine she practices yoga and Vipassana meditation, plays tennis, and gardens.
