About Helen Tackitt
Helen Tackitt, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, NE-BC is a nurse practitioner with 20 years of experience across a range of practice settings and the clinician behind Direct Functional Medicine in North Carolina. She opened her own practice so she could spend unrushed time with patients. She previously served at the Cleveland Clinic as Director of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the Taussig Cancer Center, and as Director of Clinical Practice and Education in the Duke Cancer Network. Those roles made her aware of gaps in care for cancer survivors, and survivorship care addressing the specific needs and treatment-related risks of cancer survivors is her stated passion.
