About Deowall Chattar-Cora
Deowall Chattar-Cora, MD, known to patients as Dr. Dee, is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon born and raised in New York City. He completed a five-year general surgery residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, a burn surgery fellowship at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and three years of plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, followed by an additional year of hand surgery training. He then joined the faculty of UT Health Science Center at San Antonio as an Assistant Professor of Surgery for more than five and a half years, holding dual appointments in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He has published several articles on cosmetic and plastic surgery and received the Jaime Garza award for clinical and research excellence. He has made several humanitarian surgical trips to Africa.
