About Dan Georgescu

Dan Georgescu, MD, PhD is an oculofacial plastic surgeon practising in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he operates as Dr DAN Oculoplastic & Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He earned his medical degree in Europe and a doctorate in neuroscience at Yale University and UT Southwestern, then completed a four-year ophthalmology residency at the John Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah. He went on to a two-year ASOPRS oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship at the Center for Facial Appearances in Salt Lake City, and subsequently served as an oculofacial plastic surgery professor at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University, has authored more than forty peer-reviewed articles and three book chapters, and has delivered over one hundred lectures. He also participates in humanitarian surgical missions to Nepal, India, Cambodia and Romania.
