Christopher Barnard, MD, FAAD is a dermatologist at La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic & Dermatology in La Jolla, California, double board certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery by the American Board of Dermatology. Before relocating to La Jolla full-time he ran a private dermatology, cosmetic and Mohs practice on the Monterey Peninsula for 26 years. He served aboard the USS Nimitz with Helicopter Squadron Nine before attending Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, completing an internal medicine residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland and a dermatology residency at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he holds an adjunct associate clinical professor appointment. He was the pioneer medical director of the Stanford Telemedicine Program and later chief executive of the teledermatology provider Connections 365.
