About Catherine Hannan
Dr. Catherine Hannan is a board-certified plastic surgeon dedicated to excellence and compassionate care at Washington Women Plastic Surgery, bringing expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to deliver results tailored to each individual's needs and goals. Originally from Rockaway Beach, New York, she finished first in her class at the Convent of the Sacred Heart School for Girls before earning her undergraduate degree at Yale University in biology and music. In 2012 she achieved board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery; she is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has lobbied on Capitol Hill with the ASPS. As an assistant professor in clinical plastic surgery at Georgetown School of Medicine, she guides the next generation of surgeons with a focus on empowering young women pursuing careers in surgery. She volunteers with Catholic Charities of America providing surgical care to uninsured individuals in the DC area and travels to Ecuador with Medical Ministry International to perform reconstructive surgeries.
