About Carl Williams
Dr. Carl Williams was born in Gary, Indiana and has practiced medicine in Las Vegas for over thirty years. He received his Medical Doctorate at the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed residencies and fellowships at Wayne State, the University of Illinois Chicago and Rush Presbyterian, including a hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. He was the first African American Plastic Surgery Resident in Chicago and the first African American Plastic Surgeon in the state of Nevada, and brought the first laser center to Las Vegas. He has served as chief of surgery at North Vista Hospital and chief of plastic surgery at University Medical Center and Mountain View Hospital, and established the hand surgery department at UMC. He is a clinical educator for the UNLV School of Medicine and Touro University and a member of the Board of Medical Examiners for the State of Nevada.
