About Brett Katzen

Brett Katzen, MD, FACS is an ophthalmologist at Katzen Eye Group in Baltimore, Maryland, the practice founded by his father Jack Katzen, MD in 1968; he joined it in 1992. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware in 1984, earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1988, and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1993 and is also specialty-board certified in cataract surgery by the American Board of Eye Surgery. He is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and practices cataract surgery, LASIK, and general ophthalmology.
