About Barron Johns O'Neal
Dr. Barron Johns O'Neal is a Shreveport native who received his Bachelor of Science from LSU in Baton Rouge and his medical degree from LSU Medical School in Shreveport. He completed general surgery residency at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport and plastic surgery residency at the University of Louisville Health Center, and was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1985. He shared a partnership with Dr. W. Harold Brown for over 37 years before Dr. Brown retired in 2021, and has since partnered with Dr. Paige Bundrick. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of surgery at the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and is on the active staff of all Shreveport area hospitals, having served as Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery among other leadership roles.
