About Ariel Rad

Dr. Ariel N. Rad is a board-certified plastic surgeon and co-founder of SHERBER+RAD in Washington, DC, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Educated at Princeton and Duke, he completed a PhD in immunology at the University of London before training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Johns Hopkins, where he later served as Assistant Professor and Director of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive approaches including deep plane facelift and neck lift, closed rhinoplasty, and facial skeletal contouring, as well as microvascular breast cancer reconstruction such as the DIEP flap. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
