I began my aesthetics journey in 2003. Back then, advanced aesthetics looked very different than it does today. Chemical peels and microdermabrasion were the gold standard, and many of the technologies we now take for granted hadn t even entered the market yet. Over the last two decades, I ve had a front-row seat to the evolution of aesthetic medicine. I ve watched lasers, radiofrequency, ultrasound, plasma technologies, body contouring devices, skin rejuvenation treatments, and countless other innovations emerge, evolve, and either fall off or improve. I ve also seen a lot of hype. Over the years, I ve watched manufacturers and sales representatives overpromise, devices underdeliver, and clinics purchase expensive technology without fully understanding how it works or how to maximize its potential spending tens of thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands, for subpar results.
