SOM Aesthetics is a cosmetic dermatology practice at 25 East E Street in Encinitas, California, serving North County San Diego. It was founded by Saami Khalifian, M.D., FAAD, a Harvard- and Johns Hopkins-trained dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon who serves as Medical Director of the Allergan Medical Institute, together with Jessica Shisler, Ph.D., the practice's COO. Its services center on injectables, regenerative aesthetics, lasers, radiofrequency microneedling, non-surgical hair restoration, IV therapy, and physician-led medical weight management, organized around a proprietary imaging step the practice calls the SOM Skin Scan and a treatment framework it trademarks as The SOM Method. SOM also operates a provider training arm, SOM Academy, from the same Encinitas facility.
