About Smile By Dr. John Paul

Dr Paul grew up in Lakeland and went away to college at Emory University in Atlanta. He received his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC. Returning home; he started his dental practice in 1989. Dr Paul is a general dentist with special interests in tooth colored bonded restorations, dysfunctions of the jaw joint (TMJ), and reconstruction of dilapidated mouths. He believes that prevention is preferable to providing cure whenever possible. Dr Paul and his staff spend more than 40 hours a year in continuing education (that’s more than 4 times what the state of FL requires!) to bring you the most effective techniques available. Dr Paul is active in several dental professional organizations that promote care for those in need, specifically rehabilitation of smiles for battered women so they have an easier time reentering the workforce.
