About Portola Dental Group

Every member of our team loves people and deeply enjoys building relationships with those we have the honor to serve. Dr. Aslani traveled from Iran to Los Angeles as a refugee toddler. As a first-generation immigrant, she was raised in a low income, high crime neighborhood that offered little hope. She chose education as her way out, working hard to go to college and dental school to become a dentist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at the University of California, San Diego. Achieving academic excellence during her undergraduate program, she was then accepted into the nation’s leading dental program at the University of Michigan where she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Aslani completed her residency serving veterans at the San Diego VA Medical Center. Dr. Aslani also became a National Health Service Corps Provider and a Dental Director in a non-profit health organization serving the underserved in the Pacific Northwest.
