Persa Functional Medicine is a Scottsdale, Arizona practice opened in November 2019 by Cristina Persa, MS, ND, a licensed naturopathic physician in Arizona and Washington and a fellow in anti-aging, metabolic and functional medicine. Persa trained at Bastyr University and spent six years at Tahoma Clinic in Washington, founded by bio-identical hormone pioneer Dr. Jonathan V. Wright, before opening her own practice. The clinic focuses on hormonal health and bio-identical hormone replacement, autoimmune conditions, thyroid disorders, metabolic dysfunction and complex fatigue, and treats patients in person and by phone or video. It is a self-pay facility that holds no contracts with medical insurance providers, charging $459 for a ninety-minute new patient visit and providing superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
