About Newark Dental Center

Dr. Melissa Lim grew up in Newark and Fremont, and attended Kennedy Elementary, Hopkins Junior High, and Mission San Jose High School. She pursued a BS in Physiology and graduated from UC Davis in 1990. She moved back to the Bay Area to attend the University of California, San Francisco, graduating with her DDS in 1994. Dr. Lim is formerly the Dental Director of the Sacramento Urban Indian Health Project. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Dr. Lim is married and has two sons and one daughter. She enjoys camping with her family. Dr. Gerald Au grew up in Newark, attending Kennedy Elementary, MacGregor Junior High, and Newark High School. He attended the University of the Pacific, earning a BA in Chemistry. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from USC in 1986.
