About La Pomponnee Beauty Artisans Salon and Spa

Hi there! I'm, Kristen Peckich, the owner and founder of La Pomponnée Beauty Artisans. Over 3 decades ago, I was working as a hairdresser for a great downtown salon. One of my clients, Tomasina, was a talented wedding gown designer, and began referring her brides to me for hair and makeup. As our collaboration grew stronger, she suggested I open a little salon near her shop in Mt. Lebanon. So, in February of 1992, I opened La Pomponnée, which roughly translates from French: as “one who has been dolled up”. We had a small, but mighty, team of 6 in our little day spa on Washington Rd. Over the years, we added a second location in Mcmurray, and a barber division, called Mec Modern Barbering. Our team has grown to 45 strong. We still offer head-to-toe services, including custom crafted hair color, makeup, organic skin care, meticulous nail care, and relaxing massage therapy. And yes, we still love helping our brides get dolled up!
