About Jackson & Joyce Family Dentistry

Dr. Joseph C. Joyce was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was raised in Gainesville. He attended the University of Florida earning his Bachelor of Science (1995) and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (1999). In 2004, he earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology from The George Washington University. Dr. Joyce served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps as a comprehensive dentist. In 2006, he returned from a seven-month deployment to Fallujah, Iraq, where he served as a dentist for the U.S. Marine Corps. After his seven-year-long military career, he completed a two-year comprehensive dentistry residency at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Joyce has completed over 900 hours of postgraduate dental education. He is the only dentist in Ocala, FL recognized as a Diplomate with the American Board of General Dentistry, one of the most prestigious recognitions in general dentistry.
