About Hawaii Dermatology & Surgery
Hawaii Dermatology & Surgery is a dermatology practice founded in 1979 by William K. Wong Sr., MD, a UCLA-trained dermatologist and United States Air Force Medical Corps veteran whose final posting was Hickam Air Force Base. The practice transitioned to new ownership in July 2025 and is now led by Emily Wong, MD, a dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon. It offers medical, surgical, pediatric and aesthetic dermatology alongside plastic and reconstructive surgery, covering Mohs surgery, excisions, cyst and lipoma removal, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, CO2 laser resurfacing, microneedling and hair restoration. Care is delivered from three Hawaii offices: Aiea and Kailua on Oahu, and Kailua-Kona on Hawaii Island, where surgical and Mohs cases are seen one week each month. The clinical team includes a dermatologist, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, a physician assistant, a nurse practitioner, an aesthetic nurse injector and two estheticians.
