Great Lakes Integrative Medicine (GLIM) is an integrative and functional medicine consulting practice serving Chicago and Evanston, Illinois, and LaPorte and Valparaiso, Indiana, with house calls and telemedicine also available. Its sole provider is Maureen M. Milota, APRN, NP-C, an advanced practice registered nurse with full practice authority and more than 20 years of healthcare experience, who completed the integrative medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona's Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine and functional medicine certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine. The practice works with patients from adolescence through older adulthood on hormone balance, brain health, autoimmune and cardiovascular conditions, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, digestive disorders, detoxification, and weight loss, and offers the Bredesen Protocol for cognitive decline. It runs as a consulting-only practice that collaborates with a patient's other clinicians, and it does not accept insurance or participate in Medicare.
