About Gerald Cerdan, DMD

Dr. Cerdan was born in the Philippines and moved to Lake Butler, Florida when he was 8 years old. He was the valedictorian of his class at Union County High School where he was very active in music and tennis. One of his fondest high school memories is achieving a seat as the principal percussion chair during both his junior and senior years in the Florida All-State Symphonic Band and the Florida All-State Orchestra. An avid Gator, he graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 with high honors, earning his bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Cell Science along with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Cerdan attended Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was inducted as a member of the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, an academic fraternity for the top 10 graduates of his class. As a dental student, he was especially passionate about prosthetic dentistry (crown and bridge) and completed many cases beyond the necessary requir
