Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute is an ophthalmology practice established more than 50 years ago and based in Plantation, Florida, with a second office in Fort Lauderdale operating as Fort Lauderdale Retina Institute. Its staff includes board-certified ophthalmologists, a certified optometrist and an ophthalmic nurse practitioner working across more than 20 exam rooms, with an ophthalmologist on call around the clock. Alongside cataract, LASIK, cornea, glaucoma and retina care, the practice runs an oculofacial plastic surgery service led by Gil Epstein, MD, and Aliza Epstein, MD. That service covers upper and lower blepharoplasty, endoscopic brow and forehead lift, neurotoxin and hyaluronic acid filler injections, chemical peels and ablative CO2 laser resurfacing. It serves patients from South Florida, the southeastern United States and the Caribbean.
