ÉLAN Medical Aesthetics was founded in 2021 by Emilia Alvarez — a board-certified nurse practitioner with advanced training and certification in facial and body aesthetics, practicing under Full Practice Authority in the State of Maryland. It began with a simple frustration: she couldn’t find the solutions to her own problems in a single practice she would have trusted with her own face and body. ÉLAN is a private, one-to-one studio in Ellicott City. No waiting room full of strangers. No rotating staff. No treatment handed off to a technician you’ve never met. When you book at ÉLAN, you see Emilia — the same clinician, every visit, who knows your face and remembers your history. Every plan begins with an assessment, not a menu. Aesthetic decisions are clinical decisions: they depend on your anatomy, your skin, your goals, and where you are in your life. That is how ÉLAN approaches every consultation, and it is why nothing here is upsold and nothing is one-size-fits-all.
