About Dr. William D. Tobler, Jr. MD Plastic Surgery

Dr. William D. Tobler, Jr. MD, affectionately known by his family and friends as tobes, was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from St. Xavier High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in Anthropology and Preprofessional Studies. He then received a Medical Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Following this, Dr. Tobler completed a General Surgery residency at Boston University. During this time period he learned the full scale of general and trauma surgery, including vascular and surgical oncology training. His trauma skills were put to test a senior resident during the Boston Marathon bombing tragedy. He received multiple awards upon graduation including the Grant V. Rodkey, MD Award for Scholarship, Humanism, Professionalism and Technical Excellence. Dr. Tobler s Plastic Surgery training was then completed at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
