Steven Leibowitz, M.D., is an internationally recognized oculoplastic surgeon and Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA, bringing unparalleled expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery to patients across the Western United States. Dr. Leibowitz earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Theoretical Mathematics from Brandeis University in 1975, graduating Magna Cum Laude with departmental honors in chemistry. He completed his medical degree at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York in 1979, followed by an internship and medical residency at Stanford University Medical Center. His formal training in ophthalmology was completed at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard University, where he earned his residency credentials and subsequently completed a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery—board-certified training that established the foundation for his distinguished career.
