Dr. Paul Pierce M.D. is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with a private practice in Colorado Springs that focuses on breast and body cosmetic procedures and breast reconstruction. Since his youth, Dr. Pierce has had a strong interest in art. From drawing and painting to origami and woodworking, he has tried his hand at anything that allows him to be creative. He has painted canvases that now adorn the walls of his home and built a playhouse and climbing wall with a backdrop that mirrors Pikes Peak for his three kids. While studying in high school and college, he was also drawn to the sciences. Learning how nature and the human body worked was fascinating. Eventually, these two interests collided in the field of plastic surgery. The origin of the term plastic comes from the Greek work plastikos , which means to “form” or “mold.” It is not uncommon to hear Dr. Pierce refer to plastic surgery as the perfect blend of art and science.
