About Dr. Ali Al-Attar, M.D.

Ali Al-Attar, M.D., is a plastic surgeon in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. His practice focuses on breast reconstruction after cancer, and on aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery of the face, nose, breast, and abdomen. He has published extensively and has presented his work at national meetings, and was trained by the finest surgeons in the United States. Dr. Al-Attar was raised in Potomac, Maryland, and attended the Landon School. He went to Georgetown University for college, and upon graduation entered the combined MD/PhD program at Georgetown Medical School. After considering all of the finest training programs in plastic surgery, he entered the program at Georgetown University Hospital which had the world’s premier plastic surgeons in wound healing (Christopher Attinger) and plastic surgery of the breast (Scott Spear). Following six years in residency training, he then was selected to attend the country’s oldest and most prestigious fellowship program in aesthetic surgery at the Man
