CMA, Center for Modern Aesthetic Medicine, is a medical spa and aesthetic dermatology practice with two locations in Jacksonville, Florida (San Marco and Jacksonville Beach). It was founded by Konika Schallen, MD, who earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, completed an Emergency Medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital, and holds a Masters in Aesthetic Medicine from the University of Baleares in Mallorca, Spain. Dr. Schallen has served as Global Vice President of Clinical Education for Syneron Candela and currently serves as Medical Director of the Syneron Candela Institute for Excellence in Boston. CMA Medicine is a Candela Center of Excellence and a Biote Certified Provider; its clinical team also includes physician Laura Grippa, MD, nurse practitioner Kristin Doyle, and physician assistant Ashley Hill.
