About Bloomberg Eye Center

Bloomberg Eye Center is a physician-owned medical and surgical eye care practice serving Central Ohio for more than 45 years, with offices in Columbus and Newark, Ohio. Founded in 1970 by Leroy B. Bloomberg, M.D., the practice has performed more than 60,000 LASIK procedures, the most of any single practice in Central Ohio. Beyond LASIK and refractive surgery, the practice offers cataract surgery, corneal transplants, glaucoma and retinal disease treatment, and cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) performed in-house at its own accredited surgery center. Medical Director Shahin Shahinfar, M.D. has led the practice's surgical program since the late 1990s.
