Shnita Wiley was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was raised in the small town of Aliceville, Alabama. At the age of 12, she moved back to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a child, Shnita knew that she wanted to work in healthcare. In 1999, Shnita began to climb the clinical ladder in healthcare. From 1999-2003, she worked as a certified nursing assistant. Working as a nursing assistant, Shnita learned 101 of being a good nurse. Shnita s way of taking care of patients was treating each patient that she cared for as if they were a family member. She learned how to give bed baths, make an occupied bed, transfer patients, and, most importantly, good bedside manners. From 2003-2016, Shnita worked as an LPN which taught her how to administer medications, IV Treatment, and wound care, along with assisting with transfers, feeding, and good customer service. Between 2016-2017, she received her ADN and became a RN.
