After becoming a cosmetologist she moved to Tempe, Arizona to pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Arizona State University. She worked many years at Maricopa Medical center in the Trauma/ ICU. When she started having children, (Elena, Caleb & Sam) she moved back home to Yuma and became a co- owner of a successful surgical practice.
