I’ve been a nurse for almost 30 years—23 of those in the ICU. While working in critical care, I discovered aesthetics, and my passion quickly grew. As my injector practice took off, I eventually had to choose between hospital nursing and aesthetics. I made the decision to leave the hospital behind and dedicate myself fully to aesthetic nursing. I’ve now been an aesthetic nurse injector for 15 years. The reality is that this market has become oversaturated with injectors—many of whom are very new, undertrained, or unsafe. I’ve seen a significant rise in patients coming to me for corrections after filler or neurotoxin treatments that went wrong elsewhere or simply left them unhappy with their results.
