Born in Genova, Italy, I have always been connected to the cosmetology world through my uncle, a highly respected hairstylist in my hometown. Being raised so close to Milan, one of the world's most influential fashion and design capitals, allowed me to appreciate all art forms while opening my mind about beauty. As I was growing up, I was often fascinated to see how a simple outfit or a haircut can boost our spirits and self-esteem. I remember jumping into the opportunity to make my friends and cousins feel good about themselves through makeup and hairstyling. As a teenager, I also liked to read about skincare and how to create face masks with ingredients that I could find in my kitchen. My friends and mom often ended up with a colorful and delicious face mask on the weekends. Years later, after earning a college degree, I had an opportunity to work for the cosmetic dental industry, where I learned about facial esthetics and the relationship between health, beauty, and confidence.
