Growing up in Oxford Hills with a family friend who was a dentist, Dr. McVety was inspired early on to serve people through dentistry. He graduated from Bates College in Lewiston before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Denver, Colorado, with advanced surgical training. His international training includes study with Dr. Tomas Linkevičius in Lithuania and Dr. Bernardo Sousa in Portugal. Driven by a passion for helping people, he actively volunteers through the Dental Lifeline Network and the Finding Our Smiles Organization, serving underserved communities locally and abroad.
