About Yen Ingrid Lai

Yen Ingrid Lai, MD is the medical director of ReNovi Medicine in San Dimas, California, where she leads the private practice while also serving as a medical school faculty member, a role she has held for over 23 years. She graduated with honors from UC Berkeley in neurobiology, earned her M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine, completed her family medicine residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in San Bernardino, and completed a fellowship in women's health and obstetrics at California Hospital. She was part of a multi-center Stanford research team studying the effects of hormone replacement therapy on cardiovascular health, and was in the first cohort of physicians to become Functional Medicine Certified in 2013. She is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine since 2008, and by the American Board of Integrative Medicine since 2014, with additional training in clinical homeopathy, medical acupuncture, herbal medicine, methylation genetics, and integrative oncology.
