About Walter J. Hubickey
Dr. Walter J. Hubickey joined The Eye Center Surgeons and Associates in 2011 after serving over six years as Director of Refractive Surgery at the Huntsville Center for Sight, where he performed thousands of laser vision correction procedures. In 2000, while serving in the U.S. Army, he pioneered the War-Fighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. A former U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret, he has published two articles on refractive surgery in the Journal of Ophthalmology. Originally from Philadelphia, he earned his pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and his medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
