About Vikki Petersen
Dr. Vikki Petersen is a co-founder of Root Cause Medical Clinic in Clearwater, Florida, where she practices functional medicine. She earned a BA in molecular biology from Smith College and her doctorate in chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University, and holds Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner recognition from the Institute of Functional Medicine and a Certified Clinical Nutritionist certification from the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists. She co-authored "The Gluten Effect" and wrote "Hiatal Hernia Syndrome - Many Symptoms, One Cause," and publishes patient education on a YouTube channel with over 60,000 subscribers. Before medicine she competed as a figure skater, holding a gold medal ranking in figures from the United States Figure Skating Association.
