About Venesh Sharma
Venesh Sharma is the naturopathic doctor who leads Hawaii Integrative HealthCare in Kailua, Hawaii. He holds a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, and a Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He worked in education and the non-profit sector before entering medicine, changing careers after his own experience with several years of digestive problems. During a mentorship with the SIBO Center in Portland he developed a focus on the human microbiome and gut health and its effects on other body systems. He has practiced as a naturopathic doctor since 2016 and treats patients using a whole-body-systems approach that combines Eastern and Western methods.
