About Svetlana Sakirsky

Svetlana Sakirsky graduated from the nurse practitioner program at C.W. Post, Long Island University, and practiced as a registered nurse for many years before becoming a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Her first post-graduate role was in vascular surgery at Maimonides Hospital in New York, after which she became Wound Care Certified and directed a wound care program at a Brooklyn long-term care facility. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and focuses on diabetes prevention and management, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, weight loss and individualized nutrition. She has years of experience with Botox, dermal fillers, mesotherapy and sclerotherapy. She is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine.
