About Stephen R. Klapper
Stephen R. Klapper, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery in central Indiana. He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, earning Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine with Honors and as a member of the AOA Honor Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he was selected Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters, and is a scientific reviewer for several ophthalmology journals. He is a Past President of both the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Eye Study Club, and a former Councilor with the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
